Soil

Good healthy soil is the source of most nutritious food for humans and feed for animals. A good farmer cares for the soil and improves it from season to season with the help of green manures, composts and pasturing animals.

The Earth Microbiome (more about Eearth Microbiome Project on this website) lays down a scientific approach to understanding and preservation of the soils. To maintain and foster the microbiological balance, soils have to be kept undisturbed and covered with mulch. At Good Farm, we nourish the soil in our fields to improve the natural fertility and soil biodiversity. Most of our plantations are established without deep ploughing. With additional biodynamic composts and BD500, BD501 applications, we farm to increase humus content each season towards better and healthier harvests.
